Empower Dalit Women of Nepal (EDWON)

Association for Dalit Women’s Advancement of Nepal (ADWAN)

EMPOWER DALIT WOMEN OF NEPAL (EDWON) is a human rights organization for Dalit women and children, the “untouchable” women on the lower rungs of Nepal’s caste hierarchy. Through self-help groups, education, and microfinance, EDWON inspires hope and gives women tools to end discrimination and poverty. EDWON at presents works in Takhlung, Gorkha region of Nepal with its local body being ADWAN.

Association for Dalit Women’s Advancement of Nepal (ADWAN) is a human rights organization for so-called low-caste or Dalit women and their children.

 

Global Health through Education, Training and Service (GHETS) 

GHETS supports and enhances local infrastructure in developing countries, focusing on education institutions to increase the number of trained medical professionals in the workforce. By working with local program partners, GHETS programs are developed and completed on the ground by individuals who understand the small changes that are necessary to make large sustainable impacts on their community.

GHETS is first international affiliation and mentor organization to Nidan. Nidan is running a project in Nepal that GHETS is funding designed to be a COPC rural operation as a model for service & teaching.

Richa Bajimaya Memorial Foundation (RBMF)

Richa Bajimaya Memorial Foundation is a Non Profit Organization established in the year 2007 as a tribute to Late Ms. Richa Bajimaya who left us all with a heavy heart on 25th March 2007, fighting till the very end with cancer (Ewing’s Sarcoma). RBMF seeks to change the way people see cancer and cancer patients in Nepal. To create a society that understands that cancer is a disease and not a curse and that it is a preventable condition provided you yourself are committed to work for it.

Disclosure – Team Nidan (Aditi, Prashant), work mutually and exclusively with RBMF on cancer awareness programs in Nepal. All mentioned members have been affiliated with and are core team members to RBMF. Team Nidan sees RBMF as a sister organization and draws inspiration and work ethos from RBMF is “united against cancer“
